Inexpensive Art

Here are a few thoughts on how to add some art to rooms without breaking your budget.

1.) Create a clothesline effect on your wall with cord and either clothespins or another type of clip and this can be used a gallery to display your child's artwork. It can be easily changed and you have an instant art gallery. If you have smaller pieces clipboards can be mounted to the wall for a unique effect.

2.) With a little fabric and some embroidery hoops you can create a dynamic art piece on your wall. Pick out coordinating fabrics (you can search the remnant bin for inexpensive pieces) and stretch the fabric and secure in the embroidery hoop. For a cleaner look, trim the excess fabric. Hang in groups of odd numbers( Probably 3, 5, or 7) for an interesting art statement. The hoops can also vary in size as well.

3.) Use fun things in multiples to create a pop art type art piece. Mount a number of baseballs ; at least 3 baseballs by three baseballs to a piece of wood and hang on the wall. Other items to considers could be matchbox cars, golf balls, tennis balls, bright colored daisies with no stem, doll clothes or shoes , large scale crayons, candy boxes. The possiblities are endless.

4.) Use pictures from calendars, trim to fit into frames for instant art.

5.)Create a graphic wall of color by painting 4 seperate canvases solid colors that coordinate with your room. Use brackets to secure the 4 together to create a larger piece.
